How ?HOW DO I INSTALL THE GRILLS? Most of the grills are installed into the top of the window first, then the bottom track on the grills is aligned with the window, while the window is rolled into place. Feel free to contact us for new or extra safety straps. They are $5.00 per pair. HOW MUCH DO THEY WEIGH? Most grills are approx.1lb each. HOW LONG DO K9KEEPER WINDOW GRILLS LAST? With proper care the grills should last for the life of your vehicle. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO HAVE MY GRILLS MADE? K9Keeper grills can take up to 6 weeks to be delivered, but is generally sooner.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WINDOW ROLLS DOWN UNEXPECTEDLY, WITH THE GRILLS INSTALLED? The safety straps must always be used to prevent injury to people, pets, or vehicles. WHAT ARE THEY MADE OUT OF? K9Keeper window grills are made from aluminum and a heavy duty screen mesh. All joints are welded.
WHY DOES MY PET NEED THESE GRILLS? K9Keeper window grills offer better air circulation for your pet, and helps to keep them cool when it is hot outside. The grills deter thieves more than an open window would. Keep your pet inside the vehicle, and strangers arms out.
WILL MY GRILLS FIT OTHER VEHICLES? K9Keeper window grills are specifically designed for each vehicle model, it is therefore unlikely that your grills will fit a different of type vehicle properly. WILL THEY DAMAGE MY VEHICLE? K9Keeper window grills are designed to mimic your window, and therefore should not harm weather stripping or glass if properly used/installed. WILL THEY RATTLE WHILE I DRIVE WITH THEM? The secure fit in the upper window channel and the padded channel on the bottom of the grill prevent rattling when driving under normal road conditions. WILL THEY WORK WITH ELECTRIC OR MANUAL WINDOWS? K9Keeper window grills will work with both electric and manual windows. Roll the window up until it stops. Do not force or continue to press the electric window button up after the window has stopped moving.
CAN I DRIVE WITH THE GRILLS INSTALLED? K9Keeper window grills can be used while driving if the safety strap is used. If the strap is not used serious injury to others or damage to your vehicle may occur. CAN I BUY JUST ONE WINDOW GRILL? Window grills are sold in pairs to maximize air circulation for your pet. CAN I USE THESE TO KEEP MY KIDS OR OTHER PEOPLE IN MY CAR.? NO!!! CAN I GET THEM IN DIFFERENT COLORS? K9Keeper window grills are offered in the aluminum finish, but you can paint them with acrylic based spray paint. CAN I GET THEM FOR ANY VEHICLE? Only vehicles with window tracks can get them. With the door open the window needs a complete frame around it. The window needs to roll into a track and not just flush against the rubber weather stripping. E-mail us to find out if you are unsure. CAN THE GRILLS BE FORCED OUT? If large impacts are applied against the grills, it is possible for the grills to be knocked out, possibly causing damage to your vehicle. CAN A THIEF STILL BREAK IN MY CAR? The grill is designed to deter thieves more than an open window would. A thief could force the grill out if excessive force is used. CAN I USE MORE THAN ONE SAFETY STRAP? If you require a more secure system a second safety strap may be added.
DO I NEED A SAFETY STRAP? Yes. a safety strap is a must. The safety strap keeps your grill from accidentally falling out. DO SAFETY STRAPS WEAR OUT? It is possible for safety straps to become warn with frequent use. This wear could eventually lead to failure. Safety straps should be checked frequently for signs of wear. IT IS ALWAYS NECESSARY TO LEAVE YOUR PET WATER WHEN IN THE VEHICLE. IT IS NEVER A GOOD IDEA TO LEAVE YOUR PET UNATTENDED IN YOUR VEHICLE FOR ANY LONG PERIOD OF TIME. THESE GRILLS MAY ALLOW YOUR PET AND VEHICLE TO GET TOO COLD OR WET IN THOSE TYPES OF WEATHER CONDITIONS. |
