Patented FM Signal
Both DogWatch® and Invisible Fence® rely on underground wire-based containment, but the technology used to transmit the signal makes a meaningful difference in boundary stability.
DogWatch systems use a patented FM signal carried through a buried boundary wire, creating a fixed containment line that does not move once installed. This provides consistent boundary accuracy regardless of terrain, property layout, or environmental conditions — and we guarantee our systems will work properly even if a neighboring property has another underground fence system installed.
Most Invisible Fence brand systems use an AM signal, which is more susceptible to interference and signal bleed, increasing the risk of inconsistent boundaries or cross-talk between nearby systems.
GPS-based containment systems, by contrast, depend on satellite positioning that can fluctuate over time, resulting in boundary drift that cannot be fully eliminated.
